RESPONSORIAL PSALM
PSALMS 56:2-3, 9-13 OR (PSALMS 8:4-9)
Response: In God I trust; I shall not fear.
Be gracious to me, O God,
for men trample upon me;
all day long foemen oppress me;
my enemies trample upon me all day long,
for many fight against me proudly.
R. In God I trust; I shall not fear.
Thou hast kept count of my tossings;
put thou my tears in thy bottle!
Are they not in thy book?
Then my enemies will be turned back
in the day when I call.
R. In God I trust; I shall not fear.
This I know, that God is for me.
In God, whose word I praise,
in the LORD, whose word I praise,
in God I trust without a fear.
What can man do to me?
R. In God I trust; I shall not fear.
My vows to thee I must perform, O God;
I will render thank offerings to thee.
For thou hast delivered my soul from death,
yea, my feet from falling,
that I may walk before God
in the light of life.
R. In God I trust; I shall not fear.

SECOND READING (DAY OF PRAYER FOR THE LEGAL PROTECTION OF UNBORN CHILDREN)
EPHESIANS 3:14-21
14 For this cause I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom all paternity in heaven and earth is named: 15 all paternity... Or, the whole family. God is the Father, both of angels and men; whosoever besides is named father, is so named with subordination to him. 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened by his Spirit with might unto the inward man: 17 that Christ may dwell by faith in your hearts: that, being rooted and founded in charity, 18 you may be able to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 to know also the charity of Christ, which surpasseth all knowledge: that you may be filled unto all the fulness of God. 20 Now to him who is able to do all things more abundantly than we desire or understand, according to the power that worketh in us: 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus, unto all generations, world without end. Amen.

GOSPEL
All pressed upon Jesus to touch him
MARK 3:7-12 OR (LUKE 1:39-56)
7 Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the sea, and a great multitude from Galilee followed; also from Judea 8 and Jerusalem and Idumea and from beyond the Jordan and from about Tyre and Sidon a great multitude, hearing all that he did, came to him. 9 And he told his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd, lest they should crush him; 10 for he had healed many, so that all who had diseases pressed upon him to touch him. 11 And whenever the unclean spirits beheld him, they fell down before him and cried out, "You are the Son of God." 12 And he strictly ordered them not to make him known.

REFLECTION
DAILY QUOTE FROM THE EARLY CHURCH FATHERS
Faith works by love, by Augustine of Hippo, 354-430 A.D.
"The 'faith that works by love' (Galatians 5:6), is not the same faith that demons have. 'For the devils also believe and tremble' (James 2:19) but do they love? If they had not believed, they would not have said: 'You are the holy one of God' or 'You are the Son of God' (Mark 3:11-12; Luke 4:34,41). But if they had loved, they would not have said: 'What have we to do with you?' (Matthew 8:29; Mark 5:7; Luke 8:28)"
