1⃣ NOVENA TO ST. PATRICK

DAY 3 - MARCH 10

REFLECTION: While a young slave in Ireland, St. Patrick learned to pray deeply as he tended his master's sheep. Prior to this, he had not been a religious person, even though his grandfather was a priest and his father a deacon. The lesson for us is that, although we can communicate with God at any time and anywhere, we all need to set aside quiet time for prayer in solitude. This is essential to deepening our relationship with God.

PRAYER: Oh God, how I yearn to sit quietly with You, like a child at Your feet, listening and learning in the deepest recesses of my heart. As You did with St. Patrick, draw me into solitude with You. Reveal Yourself to me and teach me Your ways. In this manner, You will strengthen me to serve You in this world.

Our Heavenly Father sent St. Patrick to preach the Gospel and bring the Holy Eucharist to the people of Ireland. By St. Patrick's intercessory prayer and saintly example, may we always enjoy his protection from every evil. May he always lead us to the truth of the Triune God and the human face of Divine Truth, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be...

O Glorious Saint Patrick, pray for us and seek my intention through this Novena but may “God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven”.

V. Pray for us, O glorious St. Patrick

R. And obtain for us the intention of this Novena.

LET US PRAY: O God, Who didst send Thy blessed servant St. Patrick to instruct and save Thy people, and didst infuse into his heart so great a share of Thine own tenderness, charity, and zeal, listen, we beseech Thee, to the prayers which we now offer up in union with the prayers of this glorious patron and father in heaven, and grant us, through his intercession, the intentions of this Novena, and the grace rather to die than to offend thee. Amen.

2⃣ NOVENA TO ST. JOSEPH

DAY 1 - MARCH 10

PRAYER BEFORE THE NOVENA: Great Saint Joseph, prostrate at thy feet with feelings of unlimited confidence, we beg thee to bless the Novena that I pray in thy honor. I will meditate upon thy virtues; grant that I may learn fully to appreciate them. The knowledge of them will be the source of great confusion for me because of the poverty and destitution of my soul. Great dispenser of the heavenly treasures, assist me in my poverty, help me to display thy virtues in my own soul. "Thou art never invoked in vain," says the seraphic St. Teresa of Jesus; be thou to me what thou hast been to that Spouse of the Sacred Heart of Jesus; graciously hearken to me as thou didst hearken to her. Amen.

SAINT JOSEPH, MODEL OF THE LIFE OF FAITH

The words of the great Apostle: "The just man liveth by faith," may be applied particularly to Saint Joseph who was the most just of men and whose life was ever guided by faith. Joseph submitted his intelligence to the holy truths of religion. He applied his heart from his tenderest infancy to the observance of the divine precepts. In the trials and sorrows of life, Joseph was sustained by faith. He shaped his whole conduct by the desire to please God and he attained the great aim of man upon earth, which is to adore God, to serve Him, and hence to deserve the everlasting Truth.

Is my faith firm, unshaken? Is my conduct animated by faith! Is faith the predominant thought that directs my acts to please God, and to obtain merit for everlasting life? Have I tried to derive consolation and strength from the thought of faith in time of trial?

(State your intentions here…)

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be...

PRAYER: Great Saint, model of the just living by faith, revive that virtue in our souls. May it be principle, the motive, the aim of all my actions; consolation and my strength in the trials of this life, the source of abundant merit for everlasting life. Amen.

St. Joseph: Pray for us!

Renowned offspring of David: Pray for us!

Light of Patriarchs: Pray for us!
