1⃣ NOVENA TO OUR LADY OF LOURDES

DAY 8 - FEBRUARY 9

O Immaculate Mother of God, from heaven itself you came to appear to little Bernadette in the rough Grotto of Lourdes! And as Bernadette knelt at your feet and the miraculous spring burst forth and as multitudes have knelt ever since before your shrine, O Mother of God, we kneel before you today to ask that in your mercy you plead with your Divine Son to grant the special favour we seek in this novena.

PRAYER: O Brilliant star of purity, Mary Immaculate, Our Lady of Lourdes, glorious in your assumption, triumphant in your coronation, show unto us the mercy of the Mother of God, Virgin Mary, Queen and Mother, be our comfort, hope, strength and consolation. Amen.

DAY 6 - FEBRUARY 9

"All those who, attracted by my love, and venerating my countenance, shall receive, by virtue of my humanity, a brilliant and vivid impression of my divinity. This splendor shall enlighten the depths of their souls, so that in eternal glory the celestial court shall marvel at the marked likeness of their features with my divine countenance." (Our Lord Jesus Christ to St. Gertrude).

THE HOLY FACE OF JESUS

"I firmly wish that my face reflecting the intimate pains of my soul, the suffering and love of my heart, be more honoured! Whoever gazes upon me already consoles me." (Our Lord Jesus Christ to Sister Pierina)

DAILY PREPARATORY PRAYER: O Most Holy and Blessed Trinity, through the intercession of Holy Mary, whose soul was pierced through by a sword of sorrow at the sight of the passion of her Divine Son, we ask your help in making a perfect Novena of reparation with Jesus, united with all His sorrows, love and total abandonment. We now implore all the Angels and Saints to intercede for us as we pray this Holy Novena to the Most Holy Face of Jesus and for the glory of the most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

PSALM 50 (51): 12-13

A pure heart create for us O God,
put a steadfast spirit within us.
Do not cast us away from your presence
nor deprive us of your Holy Spirit.

May our hearts be cleansed, O Lord, by the inpouring of the Holy Spirit, and may He render them fruitful by watering them with His heavenly dew. Mary, the most chaste spouse of the Holy Spirit, intercede for us, Saint Joseph pray for us.

Through the merits of your precious blood and your Holy Face, O Jesus, grant us our petition … Pardon and Mercy.

PRAYER TO SAINT MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL: O Victorious Prince, most humble guardian of the Church of God and of faithful souls, who with such charity and zeal took part in so many conflicts and gained such great victories over the enemy, for the conservation and protection of the honour and glory we all owe to God, as well as for the promotion of our salvation; come, we pray Thee, to our assistance for we are continually besieged with such great perils by our enemies, the flesh, the world and the devil, and as Thou wast a leader for the people of God through the desert, so also be our faithful leader, and companion through the desert of this world, until Thou conduct us safely into the happy land of the living, in that blessed fatherland from which we are all exiles. Amen. (St. Aloysius)

3⃣ NOVENA TO ST. KURIAKOSE ELIAS CHAVARA

DAY 1 - FEBRUARY 9

St. Kuriakose, you remained holy in the eyes of God throughout your life. May your exemplary life be an inspiration for us to lead a holy life rooted in the will of God. Pray for us that we may cling on to hope amidst miseries of life and glorify God. From early childhood you were keen to grow in holiness. As a result, God enriched you with Divine knowledge and the gift of internal prayer, thereby helping you to lead a life in the same grace that you received in baptism. Oh holy Kuriakose, pray that we, your children may also lead a holy life with a pure heart. We trust in your intercession and ask you to obtain for us this particular favour (State your intentions here…) from our merciful Abba, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

PRAYER: Oh Almighty God, St. Kuriakose lived a holy life in your presence and became your pleasing servant through continuous meditation, prayer and service to the Holy Church. Mercifully look upon us who seek refuge in the patronage of this holy servant of yours. Oh Lord, we beseech you to cure the sick, console the sorrowful, bless the couples without children, grant students the gift of knowledge, provide shelter to those in economic hardships, preserve the priests and religious in holiness, and establish peace and joy in our families. We pray that You call children from our homes for the service of the Holy Church. Accept our prayers and bless us through St. Kuriakose, your humble servant and our beloved patron. Amen.
