FEAR GOD ALONE, NOT MEN
St. Sebastian, holy Patron, in thy heavenly glory and joy forget us not, who carry on the incessant struggle against the enemies of holy faith, who endanger our salvation. Grant that I may adhere to God, my Lord, and to Jesus Christ with my whole heart. Obtain for me on this last day of the novena a holy fear of God, my Lord and King, that I may serve Him with perfect love, with submission and resignation to His most holy will. Free me from the fear and respect of men, who cannot truly do harm to me, that I may never waver in the fulfillment of my obligations to God and my soul. Amen.

FOR PEACE IN THE WORLD
Almighty and ever-living God, you glorified Vincent Pallotti and made him a powerful intercessor in heaven. We come before you with our petitions and place before you all our needs and cares. We declare our readiness to accept whatever you send us. Trusting in your divine providence, we cast ourselves like Vincent Pallotti in your loving arms seeking your protection. O God of all consolations, have compassion on all those who suffer and are in need. We beg you today through the intercession of St. Vincent Pallotti to help us to promote peace in the world. By your divine power bring all the warring factions into reconciliation. Remove from our world all weapons of destruction. May the nations co-operate in promoting prosperity and peace all over the world. Instill into our hearts the divine peace which your Son came to impart to his disciples in this war-torn world. Above all we place before you this our special need...

DAY 5 - JANUARY 19
This poor life is only a journey to the happy life to come. We must not be angry with one another on the way, but rather we must march on as a band of brothers and sisters united in meekness, peace and love. I state absolutely and make no exception: do not be angry at all if that is possible. Do not accept any pretext whatever for opening your heart's door to anger. Saint James tells us positively and without reservation, “a man's anger does not fulfill God's justice.”
PRAYER: O Blessed Francis, who in your life did excel in all virtues, especially in your love of God and of your neighbour, I earnestly ask you to take me under your immediate protection, to obtain from God my perfect conversion, and that of all sinners. Teach me, O Father, to fix my eyes on heaven, that I may generously trample under foot every obstacle that presents itself in my way, and attain that degree of glory which you in your mercy hold out to me. 4⃣ NOVENA IN PREPARATION FOR THE FEAST OF THE CONVERSION OF ST. PAUL
DAY 4 - JANUARY 19
For St John Paul, conversion means returning to God “through evaluating earthly realities in the unfailing light of His truth.” The proof of St Paul's conversion is his profession: “For me to live is Christ” (Phil 1:21). Conversion is a conversion to the will and design of God: “It is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me” (Gal 2:20).
PRAYER: Glorious St Paul, your conversion is a powerful witness to the world that God loves us and does not give up on us, no matter how far we stray. Help me to live a life of ongoing conversion. True conversion means converting my life to the design of God, the plan He has for me right now. Pray that I will love God's will and providence for me. May I learn to truly surrender myself to wisdom and tenderness of God. Pray that I may love God's will and providence for me. In this confidence, I entrust to you, St Paul, these, my intentions…
