DAY 6 - JANUARY 16
FAITH TEACHES YOU HOW TO LIVE YOUR LIFE
St. Sebastian, Martyr and Patron, fearlessly thou didst appear before the emperor who hated you so much; but thou didst love him and therefore wouldst try again to preach to him the truth about the Kingdom of God on earth, that he might see and believe and bend his knees in the worship of the one, true God. Refusing to listen he lost the eternal Kingdom which you gained in greater splendour and glory. Come to my aid in the confusing battles of opinions and man-made doctrines, that I may cling to Christ, my Lord and Saviour and defend the principles of His holy Gospel by living it till the last day of my life. I implore thee, holy Patron, to assist me in my last battle with the enemy that I may gain life everlasting in heavenly glory.

PRAYER: My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ see me humbly prostrate before Thee to implore Thy mercy. I am a wretched sinner who has lived hitherto in ease and wanton negligence of my Christian duties. How dangerously close have I been in the past to becoming a traitor to Thee! Pardon me, good and merciful Jesus. I will change my life: with ardent love I will adhere to Thee in future and prove myself worthy of being Thy disciple and follower of St. Sebastian. Amen.

FOR THE EXPANSION OF U.A.C. (UNION OF CATHOLIC APOSTOLATE)
Almighty and ever living God, you glorified Vincent Pallotti and made him a powerful intercessor in heaven. We come before you with our petitions and place before you all our needs and cares. We declare our readiness to accept whatever you send us. Trusting in your divine providence, we cast ourselves like Vincent Pallotti in your loving arms seeking your protection. O God of all consolations, have compassion on all those who suffer and are in need. We beg you today through the intercession of St. Vincent Pallotti to inspire all Christians to join in the apostolic endeavours of the Union of the Catholic Apostolate. Remind them of their duty to be apostles everywhere and to bring the whole humanity as one flock under the one shepherd Jesus Christ. May your kingdom extend to the ends of the earth. Above all we place before you this our special need…

DAY 2 - JANUARY 16
State openly that you desire to be devout. I do not say that you should assert that you are devout but that you desire to be devout. Do not be ashamed to practice the ordinary, necessary actions that bring us to the love of God. Acknowledge frankly that you are trying to meditate, that you would rather die than commit a mortal sin, that you are resolved to frequent the sacraments and to follow your director's advice. This candid confession of our desire to serve God and to consecrate ourselves entirely to His love is most acceptable to His Divine Majesty.
PRAYER: O Blessed Francis, who in your life did excel in all virtues, especially in your love of God and of your neighbour, I earnestly ask you to take me under your immediate protection, to obtain from God my perfect conversion, and that of all sinners. Teach me, O Father, to fix my eyes on heaven, that I may generously trample under foot every obstacle that presents itself in my way, and attain that degree of glory which you in your mercy hold out to me. 4⃣ NOVENA IN PREPARATION FOR THE FEAST OF THE CONVERSION OF ST. PAUL
DAY 1 - JANUARY 16
Blessed John Henry Newman (d 1890) looked upon conversion as nothing more than a deeper discovery of what we already truly desire. Conversion happens at the level of desire. It is the restoration of what makes us truly human.
PRAYER: Glorious St. Paul, your conversion is a powerful witness to the world that God loves us and does not give up on us, no matter how far we stray. Help me to live a life of ongoing conversion. True conversion means converting my life to the design of God, the plan He has for me right now. Pray that I may love God's will and providence for me. In this confidence, I entrust to you, St. Paul, these, my intentions...
