FAITH, A LIGHT SHINING IN DARKNESS
O glorious St. Sebastian, Pride of holy Church: I praise the Lord Who has glorified thee, His holy Martyr, in order to corroborate the faith in the hearts of the Christians. From thy place of glory look down upon me, so weak and wavering in faith, that I rightly may fear to become a traitor to the cause of Christ, our Saviour. Pray to Jesus for me that I may walk with unbending strength of will on the path of genuine Christian teachings and never side the world in defending the principles of hell. Make me see in the light of faith the truth that makes man free. Help me cultivate to perfection the spiritual life with Christ and through Christ and in Christ here on earth and forever in heaven.

PRAYER: My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ see me humbly prostrate before Thee to implore Thy mercy. I am a wretched sinner who has lived hitherto in ease and wanton negligence of my Christian duties. How dangerously close have I been in the past to becoming a traitor to Thee! Pardon me, good and merciful Jesus. I will change my life: with ardent love I will adhere to Thee in future and prove myself worthy of being Thy disciple and follower of St. Sebastian. Amen.

FOR SPIRIT OF PRAYER AND CONTEMPLATION
Almighty and ever living God, you glorified Vincent Pallotti and made him a powerful intercessor in heaven. We come before you with our petitions and place before you all our needs and cares. We declare our readiness to accept whatever you send us. Trusting in your divine providence, we cast ourselves like Vincent Pallotti in your loving arms seeking your protection. O God of all consolations, have compassion on all those who suffer and are in need. We beg you today through the intercession of St. Vincent Pallotti, to instill into us an ardent spirit of prayer. May your Holy Spirit abide with us and teach us to pray without ceasing. Above all we place before you this our special need...

3⃣ NOVENA TO ST. FRANCIS DE SALES
DAY 1 - JANUARY 15
There is no clock, no matter how good it may be, that doesn't need resetting and rewinding twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. In addition, at least once a year it must be taken apart to remove the dirt clogging it, straighten out bent parts and repair those worn out. In like manner, every morning and evening a person who really takes care of his heart must rewind it for God's service by means of certain practices of piety. At least once a year he must take it apart and examine every piece in detail; that is, every affection and passion, in order to repair whatever defects there may be.
PRAYER: O Blessed Francis, who in your life did excel in all virtues, especially in your love of God and of your neighbour, I earnestly ask you to take me under your immediate protection, to obtain from God my perfect conversion, and that of all sinners. Teach me, O Father, to fix my eyes on heaven, that I may generously trample under foot every obstacle that presents itself in my way, and attain that degree of glory which you in your mercy hold out to me.
