Holy Mary, You once said to the waiters at the family wedding: Do whatever He tells you, and a miracle happened. Pray for us that we may learn to trust God's presence and power in our lives.

Holy Mary Mother of God, Pray for us sinners, now and at the Hour of our Death. Amen.

LET US PRAY: Almighty and merciful God, You gave the Polish nation in the Blessed Virgin Mary a Most Admirable helper and protector, and adorned her image at Jasna Gora with the special devotion of the faithful, grant we beseech You, that we might fervently stand in defense of our faith on earth and share in the glory of Your triumph in heaven. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

DAY 5 - AUGUST 22

TODAY WE PRAY FOR THOSE WHOSE SINS MAKE THEM FEEL UNWORTHY TO COME TO GOD. MAY THEY FEEL THE WARM EMBRACE OF OUR FATHER'S LOVING FORGIVENESS.

PRAYER: Exemplary mother of the Great Augustine, you persevering pursued your wayward son…not with wild threats but with prayerful cries to heaven. Intercede for all mothers in our day so that they may learn to draw their children to God.

Teach us to remain close to all God's children, even the prodigal sons and daughters who have sadly gone astray.

Dear St. Monica, troubled wife and mother, many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime. Yet, you never despaired or lost faith. With confidence, persistence, and profound faith, you prayed daily for the conversion of your beloved husband, Patricius and your beloved son, Augustine.

Grant me that same fortitude, patience, and trust in the Lord. Intercede for me, dear St. Monica, that God may favorably hear my plea for (names of those you are praying for) and grant me the grace to accept His will in all things, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, One God forever and ever. Amen.

DAY 4 - AUGUST 22

Saint Augustine, through you God has manifested his power and mastery of the earth, enabling you to make prophesies and to perform miracles to aid the poorest of the poor, whom you have chosen to serve. Look upon me, a poor servant of God, and the afflictions of body and spirit that plague me, and in your kindness, help me seek the aid of the One True God we seek to love and serve throughout our lives.

PRAYER: O holy Saint Augustine, who has famously declared that “Our hearts were made for you, O Lord, and they are restless until they rest in you,” aid me in my own search for our Lord that through your intercession I may be granted the wisdom to determine the purpose God has planned for me. Pray that I be blessed with the courage to follow God's will even at times when I do not understand. Ask our Lord to lead me to a life worthy of His love, that I may one day share the riches of His kingdom. Petition our Lord and Savior to ease the burden of my problems and grant my special intention, and I will honor you all of my days. Amen.

DAY 3 - AUGUST 22

TO BE MORE DEVOTED TO BLESSED MOTHER MARY

"Be it done to me according to your word" (Lk. 1:38). With this consent Mother Mary, you surrendered your life before God the Father. St. Euphrasia took Mother Mary as her own from her very early childhood. For this special grace granted to her, we adore you, O Lord! Rosary was her treasure. In times of temptation, this was a powerful weapon to defeat her enemies.

PRAYER: Jesus, you took the form of a servant to redeem mankind. You assign people on earth, suitable to your Heart to realize your Father's will. We praise you for this. The present world with all its crookedness and vices, has to be brought to the bright light of faith and purity. For this, you have selected St. Euphrasia also along with other saints, we thank you. To be light where there is darkness, to be comfort to the disturbed, to be a corrective force for sinners, to be a support to the weak souls to ascend the steps of holiness, to be a lodestar to grow in the love of God and man, you have given us our Mother, St. Euphrasia, we praise and thank you. We too desire to bring many people to the path of prayer and sanctity. We pray for all these graces, for our intentions and prayers which we offer through this novena be heard and answered so that Jesus be glorified. Amen.
