Most holy mother of the Virgin Mary, glorious Saint Anne, I, a miserable sinner, confiding in your kindness, choose you today as my special advocate. I offer all my interests to your care and maternal solicitude. O my very good mother and advocate, deign to accept me and to adopt me as your child. O glorious Saint Anne, I beg you, by the passion of my most loving Jesus, the Son of Mary, your most holy daughter, to assist me in all the necessities both of my body and my soul. Venerable Mother, I beg you to obtain for me the favour I seek in this novena.

And the grace of leading a life perfectly conformable in all things to the Divine Will. I place my soul in your hands and in those of your kind daughter. I ask for your favor in order that, appearing under your patronage before the Supreme Judge, He may find me worthy of enjoying His Divine Presence in your holy companionship in Heaven. Amen.

HOPE IN GOD
O Lord Jesus who said “whatever you asked for in my Name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (Jn.14:13), we trust and hope in your promise. Like St. Alphonsa who lived and suffered proclaiming, “I will rejoice in whatever comes through the hands of God”, teach us Lord Jesus to see your hands in all experiences of our lives. Help us not to be disheartened in failures and setbacks. Give us strength through Your Spirit to grow in unfailing hope in you. Help us to bring harmony into our lives with the fond hope of seeing Your glorious face in the world to come and enjoy the company of Your angels and saints there. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, the Lord of all, forever. Amen.

I desire for you the joy and full consolation of soul that I desire for myself, and I sympathize with you in your trials but I consider this a very special gift of God our Lord for He is providing you with an occasion to practice patience, as well as faith and hope in Him [Ep. 6:161].
In the life which is eternal and without end God will reward your patience with indescribable joy and glory; there will be no trials, sadness, or discomfort—for there are none of these in heaven—but only the fulfillment of every joy and happiness [Ep. 6:161].

“The sovereigns of the earth do not always grant audience readily; on the contrary, the King of Heaven, hidden under the Eucharistic veils, is always ready to receive anyone.” — St. Alphonsus!
PRAYER: O my glorious and well-beloved patron, Saint Alphonsus, thou who didst toil and suffer so abundantly to assure to men the fruits of the Redemption, behold the miseries of my poor soul and have pity on me. By thy powerful intercession with Jesus and Mary, obtain for me true repentance for my sins together with their pardon and remission, a deep hatred of sin, and strength evermore to resist all temptations. Share with me, I pray, at least a spark of that fire of love wherewith thy heart did ever burn; and grant that, following thy example, I may make the will of God the only rule of my life. Obtain for me likewise a fervent and lasting love of Jesus, and a tender and childlike devotion to Mary, together with the grace to pray without ceasing and to persevere in the service of God even to the end of my life, that so I may finally be united with thee in praising God and most holy Mary through all eternity. Amen.
