DAY 4 - MAY 15

REFLECTION: During the forty days after Jesus' Resurrection when he appeared to his Apostles, he told them that he would be with them always. As he prepared them for his Ascension into heaven, he instructed them and helped them to understand that they could hope to spend eternity in heaven with him.

PRAYER: Jesus, please help us to always remain close to You, and we particularly ask You today to help us and all people to grow in the virtue of hope! Help us to grow in love for You each day of our lives. Give us the grace to look forward to the hope of spending eternity with You in heaven. And I especially ask in this novena for,

PRAYER FOR THE MOTHERS OF DIFFICULT CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS

Glorious St. Rita, you wanted the best for your sons even if it meant their death. Help all mothers, fathers and guardians of difficult children and teenagers to pray for them, and to entrust them to God's providence and mercy.

PRAYER: Dear Saint Rita, during your entire life on earth you found your happiness by following the will of our heavenly Father. Help me to be as trusting of God in all his designs for me. Help me this day to give myself to him as you did, without limit, without fear, without counting the cost. Help me to be generous in serving the needs of others, patient in all difficulties, forgiving toward all who injure me. Help me to learn more deeply the great mystery of the cross of Jesus, so that by embracing it as you did, I may come to experience its power to heal and to save. Amen.

O Mary, Thou didst readily agree to the Angel's request when he asked Thee to be the Mother of God's Son, and throughout Thy life, Thy one desire was to do the will of Thy Father in Heaven. Help me always to be obedient and humble. May I, like Thee, always have the generosity to follow Jesus, wherever He calls.
