1⃣ 30 DAYS PRAYERS IN NOVEMBER FOR THE HOLY SOULS IN PURGATORY

DAY 16 - NOVEMBER 16

St. Paul, in his Epistle to the Corinthians (1 Corinthians 11: 13-15), tells us, "Every man's work shall be manifest, for the day of the Lord shall declare it, because it shall be revealed in fire. And fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If a man's work burn, he shall suffer loss; but he shall be saved, yet so as to fire."

PSALM 129 (130)

V. Out of the depths, I have cried to Thee, O Lord, Lord, hear my voice.
R. Let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.
V. If Thou, O Lord, shalt mark my iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand it?
R. For with Thee there is merciful forgiveness: and by reason of Thy law I have waited for Thee, O Lord.
V. My soul hath relied on His word; my soul hath hoped in the Lord.

LET US PRAY: O Lord Jesus, have mercy on the Souls in Purgatory who suffer because of some slight human frailty. Deliver them from their agonies, that they may forevermore praise and glorify Thee in Heaven. Amen.

PRAYER OF SAINT GERTRUDE THE GREAT FOR THE HOLY SOULS IN PURGATORY
(A prayer which would release many souls from Purgatory each time it is recited)

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.

2⃣ NOVENA TO CHRIST THE KING

DAY 6 - NOVEMBER 16

OPENING PRAYER: Lord Jesus, King of the universe, we want to open our spirit in this novena dedicated to you and contemplate the mystery of your life as an Apostle of the Kingdom with your mind and heart. We ask you, through the intercession of Mary, to establish your reign in our hearts so that united to you, we can make your Kingdom present in the hearts of people and in society.

“Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25: 31-46)

With his own life, Jesus Christ teaches us what it means to be King according to the criteria of the Kingdom of his Father. He shows us that true leadership consists in giving witness to the truth, in serving our brothers and sisters, in submitting freely to the will of the Father,  and in giving our life for love. He teaches us that the way of the beatitudes is the one that leads to the Kingdom, and that at the end of our life, we ​​will be judged on love.

To live the mystery of Christ who forms us as apostles is to remain united to him, to learn to think as He thinks, to feel as He feels, to love as He loves.

Eternal God, you gave us the gift of St. Cecilia, a powerful protector and patron of music. We strive to pass our days faithfully and innocently like holy St. Cecilia so that we may come to Heaven where we may praise You in concert with her.

Lord, have mercy on us. Lord, have mercy on us.

Christ hear us. Christ, graciously hear us.

St. Cecilia, you mingled your voice with the heavenly harmonies of angels. Pray for us!

We praise you, O Virgin St. Cecilia, who gave your blood for the defense and faith of Jesus Christ. We seek your prayers for…
