O Martyr Invincible, who, for the honor of God and the salvation of souls, didst with firmness and constancy withstand the impiety of Herod even at the cost of thine own life, and didst rebuke him openly for his wicked and dissolute life; by thy prayers obtain for us a heart, brave and generous, in order that we may overcome all human respect and openly profess our faith in loyal obedience to the teachings of Jesus Christ, our Divine Master. Amen.

DAY 8 - JUNE 22
PEACE BE WITH YOU!
Peace; Look; Listen; Go Jesus greets the apostles with that soothing word, ‘Shalom' (Peace) – it means I wish you the fullness of well-being of mind and body and soul. He then invites them to look at his hands and side. He encourages them to listen to what the scriptures say about him and then to go and preach the Good News that He is Risen.
TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, you see my poverty and you love me better than I can love myself. Supply my wants according to your mercy. Help me to accept your will without seeking to understand disappointments. Help me to resign myself entirely and absolutely to you. Amen.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, the needs of your people open your heart in love for each of us. You care for us when we are lost, sympathize with us in loneliness, and comfort us in mourning; you are closest to us where we are weakest. You love us most when we love ourselves least; you forgive us most when we forgive ourselves least; and you call us to spread your love in whatever way we can.
Lord Jesus, your heart is moved with compassion when we are suffering, when we need your help, and when we pray for each other. I ask you to listen to my prayer during this Novena, and grant what I ask.

3⃣ NOVENA TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY
DAY 7 - JUNE 22
TO LEAD SOULS TO JESUS CHRIST
Immaculate Mother of God, our Mother by grace, we the beloved of thy Immaculate Heart come to thee on this seventh day of this Novena to pray for the grace and strength to lead souls to Jesus Christ, our Lord, God and Savior.
O Heavenly Mother Mary, we come to Jesus when we come to thee. Thy greatness lies in thy being "Mother of God." May living our motto "To Jesus through Mary" lead many souls to thy Son, true God and true Man. We fly into thy patronage, O Holy Mother of God; despise not our petitions in our necessities, but deliver us always from all dangers, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
Most Holy Mary, thou conceived the Word of God in thy Immaculate Heart before thy womb. Thou sought always to ponder the Word of God in thy heart perfectly without drawing attention to thyself. It was St. John the Baptist who said, "He must increase but I must decrease." (John 3:30) It was thou, O Mary, who under the power of the Holy Spirit, prayed, "My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord." (Luke 1:46). May we lead souls to Christ by decreasing ourselves and by always proclaiming the greatness of the Lord. With thou as our Mother and Model, Immaculate Mary, may we never waver in leading souls to the Father through Jesus in His Holy Catholic Church, under the visible headship of the Pontiff.

PRAYER: Sanctify us, O Lord, through Thy Holy Spirit, that we may be instruments for the sanctification of others by word and deed. Thou said, "A man cannot receive anything unless it be given to him from Heaven." (John 3:27). May the glory of God and the salvation of souls always be our goals. May we remember, O heavenly Mother, that we teach as much by what we are as by what we say. May we never lead another soul astray. By our prayers, sacrifices and teaching, in the performance of our daily duties, may we always lead souls to Jesus Christ, where lies their hope of eternal salvation.
As apostles of thy love, Immaculata, illumine and purify us, so that we may be effective servants of the Divine Mercy of Jesus Christ in leading many souls to the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

DAY 6 - JUNE 22
Heavenly Father, you have given us the shining example of St. Josemaría Escrivá. You granted him the grace and ability to minister to many when he founded Opus Dei. He shared Your word and taught people how to make their daily life and work holy. For it is in our daily life and work that we can come to know You, O God!
St. Josemaría Escrivá, we know that you are particularly close with God and so we humbly beg you to hear and answer our intentions through the grace of Our Lord.

O God, we long to have your peace within us. Please show us how to be holy like St. Josemaría Escrivá so that every day we may see Your loving hand in our work, our families, in our friends and in all that we do. Help us to be strong when we face illness and difficulty in life so that we may see Your good and loving hand in all situations.
Today, we come to You with a special request through the intercession of St. Josemaría Escrivá:
Dear God, help us to see pain and illness as a way of sharing in Your Cross and not as a punishment. Amen.

5⃣ NOVENA TO OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL SUCCOUR
DAY 5 - JUNE 22
O Mary, Mother of all creatures the most noble, the most sublime, the most pure, the most beautiful, the most holy, thou art loved preeminently by all the elect and by God Himself Who has more love for thee alone than for all men, and angels together. But I would wish to see all mankind love thee, and love thee exceedingly. Obtain for me this love which I so much desire for others and which is a sure sign of predestination. But above all obtain for me the grace to love Jesus Christ, thy Divine Son, whom above all I am so much bound to love, as infinitely amiable in Himself, as having so much loved for me, and whom thou so ardently desirest to see loved by all. This is the grace I seek for most, and above every other good. Thou canst obtain it for me, O Mother of Perpetual Help, and cease not to pray until thou seest a great love for Jesus enkindled in my soul, or rather cease not to pray until thou seest me united with thyself in loving Him with a pure and endless love in Paradise. Amen.
PRAYER: O Mother of Perpetual Succour, behold me a miserable sinner at thy feet; I have recourse to thee and put my trust in thee. O Mother of Mercy have pity upon me. I hear thee called by all the refuge and the hope of sinners, be then my refuge and my hope. Succour me for the love of Jesus Christ; stretch forth thy hand to me a poor sinner, who recommend and dedicate myself to thee as thy perpetual servant. I bless and thank GOD for having in His mercy given me this confidence in thee, the pledge as I believe of my eternal salvation. Alas! Too often in past times have I miserably fallen, because I had not recourse to thee! I know that with thy help I shall conquer. I know that thou will help me if I recommend myself to thee; but I fear lest in the occasion of falling. I should cease to call upon thee and so should lose my soul. This, then, is the grace I seek from thee; and I beg of thee, as far as I know how and can, to obtain it for me; namely, in the assaults of hell, always to have recourse to thee and to say to thee: O Mary help me; Mother of Perpetual Succour, suffer me not to lose my God. Amen.

DAY 3 - JUNE 22
PHILIPPIANS 4: 6-8
“Don't worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And now, Dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”
REFLECTION: When we are consumed with worry and stress, we cannot function normally. Often, we panic, and our hearts are filled with negativity. Negativity begets bitterness. Most problems we face are not solvable by ourselves. We need help. St. Paul advises us to pray whenever we are anxious so that we may allow for peace and quiet to flow through our beings.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, strengthen my trust that you will take care of all my needs. Give me peace in accepting your will.
O holy Apostles, Peter and Paul, I choose you this day and forever to be my special patrons and advocates; thee, Saint Peter, Prince of the Apostles, because thou art the Rock, upon which Almighty God hath built His Church; thee, Saint Paul, because thou wast fore-chosen by God as the Vessel of election and the Preacher of truth in the whole world.

Obtain for me, I pray you, lively faith, firm hope, and burning love; complete detachment from myself, contempt of the world, patience in adversity, humility in prosperity, attention in prayer, purity of heart, a right intention in all my works, diligence in fulfilling the duties of my state of life, constancy in my resolutions, resignation to the will of God and perseverance in the grace of God even unto death; that so, by means of your intercession and your glorious merits, I may be able to overcome the temptations of the world, the flesh and the devil, and may be made worthy to appear before the chief and eternal Shepherd of souls, Jesus Christ, Who with the Father and the Holy Ghost liveth and reigneth for endless ages, to enjoy His presence and love Him forever. Amen.
