REFLECTION: CHRISTIAN FORTITUDE, PATIENCE AND JOY
Lord God, we honor the memory of our Saint, Saint Thomas More.
In his earthly life, he was a model of Christian fortitude.
He suffered bereavement, disgrace, poverty, imprisonment and a violent death; yet he bore it all with strength and good cheer.
We ask that you grant to us, through his prayers and intercession, the grace to bear all our crosses with Christian fortitude, patience and joy.
We also ask that, through his powerful intercession, we may obtain the favors we seek in this novena:

O Martyr Invincible, who, for the honor of God and the salvation of souls, didst with firmness and constancy withstand the impiety of Herod even at the cost of thine own life, and didst rebuke him openly for his wicked and dissolute life; by thy prayers obtain for us a heart, brave and generous, in order that we may overcome all human respect and openly profess our faith in loyal obedience to the teachings of Jesus Christ, our Divine Master. Amen.

DAY 5 - JUNE 19
HAS NO ONE CONDEMNED YOU?
I read something recently which went like this: ‘You do not have to be good before God will love you; you do not have to repent before you will be absolved by God'. It is all the other way around. If you are good, it is because God's love has already made you so; if you want to be forgiven, that is because God is forgiving you.'
TODAY'S PRAYER: Jesus, as I reflect upon your Sacred Heart, help me to have a deep felt knowledge that you have already forgiven and long to forgive all my sins. Your Sacred Heart is love made visible. Amen.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, the needs of your people open your heart in love for each of us. You care for us when we are lost, sympathize with us in loneliness, and comfort us in mourning; you are closest to us where we are weakest. You love us most when we love ourselves least; you forgive us most when we forgive ourselves least; and you call us to spread your love in whatever way we can.
Lord Jesus, your heart is moved with compassion when we are suffering, when we need your help, and when we pray for each other. I ask you to listen to my prayer during this Novena, and grant what I ask.

4⃣ NOVENA TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY
DAY 4 - JUNE 19
CHARITY
Immaculate Mother of God, our Mother by grace, we the beloved of thy Immaculate Heart come to thee on this fourth day of this Novena to pray for the grace of the holy virtue of Charity.
Let rays of light from thy Immaculate Heart penetrate our souls with the love of God. Mary, Mother of Christ, Mother of Holy Love, form us according to the Heart of thy Son. His love of the Father and all mankind was so great that He lay down His life for us, even to death on the Cross. Obtain for us the grace of the infused supernatural virtue by which we love God above all things for His own sake, and love others for the sake of God. In devotion to thy Immaculate Heart, O Mary, we will acquire the virtue of supernatural charity by the Divine power of charity infused into our souls together with sanctifying grace.
St. John, Apostle of Love, who received the Mother of Love into thine home and thereby into thy heart according to the word of Jesus Christ from the Cross, we look to thy intercession to obtain for us knowledge of God Who is Love so that we may abide in God, and God in us. Mary, Spouse of the Holy Ghost, it is through thy powerful intercession that the Holy Spirit sanctifies souls and enables us to say "Lord Jesus" in faith and love. Invoke, O Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Spirit of Divine Love to fill us with ever grater love of Jesus Christ and of the Father. Teach us to have faith as thou had faith upon earth and to love as thou lovest. Share even now the flames of the intense love which radiates from thy Heart. Enkindle in us the fire of the Holy Spirit. Help us to serve the Church lovingly and faithfully. In a world grown cold to love, a world divided, unite us through the power of thy prayers, O Immaculate Mother of Love, into one fold under one Shepherd. In drawing us to Jesus, possess our souls, our very lives. Enlighten our every thought, word and deed, so that our lives reflect thy own.

PRAYER: As Our Lady of the Holy Eucharist, illuminate and purify us so that we may approach the Sacrament of Love to receive our loving Savior fruitfully to final glory. In this way, one day we will come, O Loving Mother of Grace, to be in Heaven both body and soul with Jesus as King and thou as Queen and Mother. Amen.

Heavenly Father, you have given us the shining example of St. Josemaría Escrivá. You granted him the grace and ability to minister to many when he founded Opus Dei. He shared Your word and taught people how to make their daily life and work holy. For it is in our daily life and work that we can come to know You, O God!
St. Josemaría Escrivá, we know that you are particularly close with God and so we humbly beg you to hear and answer our intentions through the grace of Our Lord.

O God, we long to have your peace within us. Please show us how to be holy like St. Josemaría Escrivá so that every day we may see Your loving hand in our work, our families, in our friends and in all that we do. Help us to be strong when we face illness and difficulty in life so that we may see Your good and loving hand in all situations.
Today, we come to You with a special request through the intercession of St. Josemaría Escrivá:
Dear God, help us to experience Christian joy whenever we embrace pain, illness or difficulties. Please show us how to surrender our suffering into Your fatherly arms. Amen.

How sweet it is to think that by thy peerless beauty, O Holy Virgin, though hast ravished the heart, not of any earthly monarch, but of the King of Kings, and the Creator of the universe! Thus wert thou deemed worthy to be the Mother of the Incarnate Word, the dispensatrix of His grace, and the cause of our joy. And now, enthroned at the right hand of thy Son, thou drawest to thee the hearts of all the Saints and Angels in heaven and of the just on earth. I rejoice to see thee of all creatures the most beloved, since of all others thou art the most worthy of love. But, I beseech thee, O glorious Queen, forget me not, poor exile that I am, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Remember that thou art raised on high to be able the better to see those who suffer here below, and that thou art made so powerful to help us more readily. Thou knowest, O Mary! how I am constantly assailed by enemies from without, and by temptations from within. Be thou my Perpetual Help: watch over me continually, or I shall be lost. And when through frailty I fail actually to call upon thee in danger, receive the intention I now make of doing so. May this be ever the habitual cry of my heart. Mother of Perpetual Help, forget me not. Amen.
PRAYER: O Mother of Perpetual Succour, behold me a miserable sinner at thy feet; I have recourse to thee and put my trust in thee. O Mother of Mercy have pity upon me. I hear thee called by all the refuge and the hope of sinners, be then my refuge and my hope. Succour me for the love of Jesus Christ; stretch forth thy hand to me a poor sinner, who recommend and dedicate myself to thee as thy perpetual servant. I bless and thank GOD for having in His mercy given me this confidence in thee, the pledge as I believe of my eternal salvation. Alas! Too often in past times have I miserably fallen, because I had not recourse to thee! I know that with thy help I shall conquer. I know that thou will help me if I recommend myself to thee; but I fear lest in the occasion of falling. I should cease to call upon thee and so should lose my soul. This, then, is the grace I seek from thee; and I beg of thee, as far as I know how and can, to obtain it for me; namely, in the assaults of hell, always to have recourse to thee and to say to thee: O Mary help me; Mother of Perpetual Succour, suffer me not to lose my God. Amen.
