1⃣ CORPUS CHRISTI NOVENA

DAY 6 - JUNE 2

Most holy body and blood of Christ, may we always remember your sorrowful Passion and sacrifice for us.

Most Holy and Almighty God, we thank you and praise you for giving us the most precious body and blood of Your only son, Jesus Christ. Through the institution of the Sacrament of Holy Communion we are able to nourish our bodies and souls. We thank you for having made Yourself our food and for uniting us with You in this beautiful Sacrament.

In receiving the body and blood of Jesus, we live in You and through You. We praise you for offering Yourself as a continual sacrifice to Your Eternal Father for our salvation. Although we are not worthy to receive You, You sacrifice Yourself for us daily. And so, we request your most Holy intercession:

(State your intentions here…)

If it is Your holy Will, please grant our requests.

PRAYER: Dear Lord Jesus, You made the ultimate sacrifice so that You could wash away the sins of the whole world. You have left us the great gift of your body and blood through the Holy Eucharist. We thank you and praise you every day for renewing in the daily sacrifice the actual sacrifice of the cross offered on Calvary, in which you gave divine justice and love for all of us sinners. Amen.

Glory be…

2⃣ NOVENA TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS

DAY 1 - JUNE 2

WHAT DO YOU DESIRE?

Jesus addresses the same question to you at the beginning of this novena

‘What do you want?' St. Augustine said that all our desires are really a longing for God in disguise; where there is real desire, there is prayer. So, be at peace in your desire, you are already praying!

TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, I come to you at the start of this novena with a muddle of desires. Give me courage, to listen to what you want to say to me about these desires and give me the strength to accept your loving desires for me and for my loved ones. Amen.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, the needs of your people open your heart in love for each of us. You care for us when we are lost, sympathize with us in loneliness, and comfort us in mourning; you are closest to us where we are weakest. You love us most when we love ourselves least; you forgive us most when we forgive ourselves least; and you call us to spread your love in whatever way we can.

Lord Jesus, your heart is moved with compassion when we are suffering, when we need your help, and when we pray for each other. I ask you to listen to my prayer during this Novena, and grant what I ask.

(State your intentions here…)

If what I ask is not for my own good and the good of others, grant me what is best, that I may build up your kingdom of love in our world. Amen.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be...

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you!

3⃣ 13 DAYS NOVENA TO ST. ANTHONY OF PADUA

DAY 3 - JUNE 2

Anthony, through your teaching and preaching you bore witness to the loving presence of God in all of creation. Now that you have come into the fullness of the kingdom, pray for us that our lives might also proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ to all humanity.

PRAYER: Almighty, Eternal God, you have given your people St. Anthony as an outstanding preacher and intercessor in times of need. Grant that with his help we may follow in the example of Christian living and experience your support in all adversities. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

St. Anthony, “Follower of St. Francis,” help us to find the courage to build up the Church through lives of humble service, loyal obedience, and compassionate love. {pause} We are companions of St. Anthony, Follower of the poor man of Assisi. May we recognize “the Face of Jesus” in our sisters and brothers, we pray:

(State your intentions here…)

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be...

O good St. Anthony, Follower of St. Francis, pray for us. Amen.

BRIEF STORY OF ST. ANTHONY'S LIFE

ST. ANTHONY EXPERIENCES THE CALL OF THE FRANCISCAN WAY OF LIFE

Already ordained a priest in the Canons Regular, St. Anthony began to discern that God was calling him to a Franciscan vocation. He began to visit the nearby olive grove where the friars lived in an impoverished hermitage. There St. Anthony came to know the spirit of St. Francis, the “Little Poor Man of Assisi.” With the permission of the Church, St. Anthony was soon invested as a friar in the habit of the Franciscan Order.

St. Anthony of Padua: Pray for us!
