O Most Lovable Child, in contemplating You as You sustain the world, my heart fills with joy. Among the innumerable beings that You sustain I also am one. You look on me, uphold me at every instant and guard me as Your own. Look after, O Jesus, this humble being and help it in its many necessities.

By Your Divine Infancy, O! Jesus, grant me the grace that I now ask (State your intentions here…) if it is according to Your will and for my true good. Do not look upon my unworthiness, but rather on my faith and show me Your infinite mercy.

PRAYER: O God, who has appointed Your only begotten Son as Saviour of the human race, and wished that He be called Jesus, grant us to be able one day, to contemplate Him face to face in Heaven whose Holy Name we venerate on earth. Amen.

DAILY PREPARATORY PRAYER: O Most Holy and Blessed Trinity, through the intercession of Holy Mary, whose soul was pierced through by a sword of sorrow at the sight of the passion of her Divine Son, we ask your help in making a perfect Novena of reparation with Jesus, united with all His sorrows, love and total abandonment. We now implore all the Angels and Saints to intercede for us as we pray this Holy Novena to the Most Holy Face of Jesus and for the glory of the most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

PRAYER OF POPE PIUS IX: Jesus! Cast upon us a look of mercy: turn your Face towards each of us as you did to Veronica; not that we may see it with our bodily eyes, for this we do not deserve, but turn it towards our hearts, so that, remembering you, we may ever draw from this fountain of strength the vigour necessary to sustain the combats of life. We rejoice in your glory, and we give thanks to our Lord for all the benefits which He has showered upon you; we praise Him, and glorify Him, and for an increase of your joy and honour, we offer Him the most Holy Face and gentle Heart of Jesus. Pray that we may become formed according to the heart of God. Amen.

O Immaculate Mother of God, from heaven itself you came to appear to little Bernadette in the rough Grotto of Lourdes! And as Bernadette knelt at your feet and the miraculous spring burst forth and as multitudes have knelt ever since before your shrine, O Mother of God, we kneel before you today to ask that in your mercy you plead with your Divine Son to grant the special favour we seek in this novena.

DAY 1 - FEBRUARY 9
St. Kuriakose, you remained holy in the eyes of God throughout your life. May your exemplary life be an inspiration for us to lead a holy life rooted in the will of God. Pray for us that we may cling on to hope amidst miseries of life and glorify God. From early childhood you were keen to grow in holiness. As a result, God enriched you with Divine knowledge and the gift of internal prayer, thereby helping you to lead a life in the same grace that you received in baptism. Oh holy Kuriakose, pray that we, your children may also lead a holy life with a pure heart. We trust in your intercession and ask you to obtain for us this particular favour (State your intentions here…) from our merciful Abba, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

PRAYER: Oh Almighty God, St. Kuriakose lived a holy life in your presence and became your pleasing servant through continuous meditation, prayer and service to the Holy Church. Mercifully look upon us who seek refuge in the patronage of this holy servant of yours. Oh Lord, we beseech you to cure the sick, console the sorrowful, bless the couples without children, grant students the gift of knowledge, provide shelter to those in economic hardships, preserve the priests and religious in holiness, and establish peace and joy in our families. We pray that You call children from our homes for the service of the Holy Church. Accept our prayers and bless us through St. Kuriakose, your humble servant and our beloved patron. Amen.
