DAY 14 – NOVEMBER 14
Prayers for the Faithful departed are more acceptable to God than prayers for the living: for the suffering souls are in the greatest need and cannot help themselves.

Out of the depths, I have cried to Thee, O Lord, Lord, hear my voice.
R. Let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.
If Thou, O Lord, shalt mark my iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand it?
R. For with Thee there is merciful forgiveness: and by reason of Thy law I have waited for Thee, O Lord.
My soul hath relied on His word; my soul hath hoped in the Lord.

O Lord Jesus, shower down on us Thy divine graces and blessings. Unite our will to Thine, and make our prayers more acceptable to Thee, and more beneficial to the Souls in Purgatory who cry out. Have pity on me, for the Hand of God has touched me. Amen.
THE PRAYER OF ST. GERTRUDE (TO HELP A THOUSAND SOULS IN PURGATORY)
Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.

EIGHTH PRAYER: NOVEMBER 14
O Jesus, strong Lion of the tribe of Juda, remember now the sorrow and the woe Thou didst endure, when all the forces of Thy Heart and of Thy Flesh failed Thee utterly, and Thou didst bow Thy Head and cry: It is consummated. By this Thine anguish and Thy woe, have mercy on me at the end of my life, when my soul shall be troubled, and my spirit disquieted within me. Amen.
SAINT GERTRUDE THE GREAT CHAPLET
(Our Lord told St. Gertrude the Great that the following prayer would release 1,000 Souls from Purgatory each time it is said. The prayer was later extended to include living sinners as well.)

DAY 2 - NOVEMBER 14
Eternal God, you gave us the gift of St. Cecilia, a powerful protector and patron of music. We strive to pass our days faithfully and innocently like holy St. Cecilia so that we may come to Heaven where we may praise You in concert with her.
God the Father of Heaven,
Have mercy on us.
God the Son, Redeemer of the world,
Have mercy on us.
St. Cecilia, your life and faith moved the hearts of pagans and brought them into the true Church. Pray for us!
We praise you, O Virgin St. Cecilia, who gave your blood for the defense and faith of Jesus Christ. We seek your prayers for…
