REFLECTION

PRAYER
St. Vincent, man grounded in right action, be with us as we discern from a global perspective, the needs of those who are poor.
Bless us as we listen without prejudice or discrimination and recognize anew the face of Jesus as He comes to us in our suffering sisters and brothers. Amen.

DAY 7 - SEPTEMBER 26
OPENING PRAYER
St. Michael the Archangel, we honor you as a powerful protector of the Church and guardian of our souls. Inspire us with your humility, courage and strength that we may reject sin and perfect our love for our Heavenly Father.
In your strength and humility, slay the evil and pride in our hearts so that nothing will keep us from God.
St. Michael the Archangel, pray that we may have the grace to joyfully dedicate everything that we do to the greater glory of God.
CLOSING PRAYER
St. Michael the Archangel, you are the prince of angels but in your humility you recognized that God is God and you are but His servant. Unlike Satan, you were not overcome with pride but were steadfast in humility. Pray that we will have this same humility.
It is in the spirit of that humility that we ask for your intercession for our petitions…

O Little Flower of Carmel, Almighty God endowed you, consumed by love for him, with wondrous spiritual strength to follow the way of perfection during the days of your short life. Sickness touched you early but you remained firm in faith and prayer was your life. O pray for me that I may benefit by your intercession and be granted the favour I ask in this novena...

O St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus, who during your short life on earth became a mirror of angelic purity, of love strong as death, and of wholehearted abandonment to God, now that you rejoice in the reward of your virtues, cast a glance of pity on me as I leave all things in your hands. Make my troubles your own, speak a word for me to Our Lady Immaculate, whose flower of special love you were -- to that Queen of Heaven “who smiled on you at the dawn of life” Beg her powerful intercession the grace I yearn for so ardently at this moment...and that she join with it a blessing that may strengthen me during life, defend me at the hour of death, and lead me straight on to a happy eternity. Amen.
O God, who did inflame with the Spirit of Love, the soul of your servant Thérèse of the Child Jesus, grant that we also may love you and make you much loved. Amen.

Loving God, you are so good that you gave me a Guardian Angel to protect my body and my soul. Help me to know and follow my angel so that, with their guidance, I will be worthy of being in Heaven with You!
My sweet Guardian Angel, you are my teacher every day of my life. Instruct me to be holy and good like you. Teach me to be the person that God is calling me to be. Help me to be a light for others to know and love the Lord.
You are with me all the time so you already know these my intentions that I ask you to deliver to the Lord.

OPENING PRAYER
Holy Saint Francis, through your kind intercession we seek holiness above all things. We seek the faith, hope and love that allowed you to joyfully renounce the pleasures of earthly life and to radically follow our Lord Jesus Christ. Pray for us that we enjoy the privilege of suffering with and for the poor in the example of Jesus. Help us to be always grateful for all the blessings we have received and the strength to overcome our most pressing concerns, especially…

Holy St. Francis, when you decided to serve in the manner of our Lord Jesus Christ, you entrusted your whole life to his Divine Providence. Emboldened by your example, I resolve to entrust the favorable resolution of my situation to God our Father, through your most kind intercession.

DAY 1 - SEPTEMBER 26
HAPPY ARE THOSE WHO PUT THEIR TRUST IN GOD!
Jesus: The soul that trusts in My mercy is most fortunate, because I myself take care of it (Diary 1273). I heap My confidence upon it and give it all it asks (Diary 453).
St. Faustina: I do not understand how it is possible not to trust in Him who can do all things. With Him, everything; without Him, nothing. He is Lord. He will not allow those who have placed all their trust in Him to be put to shame (Diary 358).
Saint Faustina, obtain for me the grace of childlike trust in the Lord God who can do all things. He is Wisdom itself and loves with an everlasting love.
