DAY 9 - AUGUST 27
Holy Saint Augustine, you have overcome great adversity to be revered as one of the greatest saints of our Church. In your wisdom and compassion, aid me in my own life quest to fulfill the destiny laid for me, that God may bless me with the strength, courage and wisdom to surrender my temporal concerns to His will. Intercede for me that my most pressing concerns be resolved and my petition granted.

PRAYER
O holy Saint Augustine, who has famously declared that “Our hearts were made for you, O Lord, and they are restless until they rest in you.”, aid me in my own search for our Lord that through your intercession I may be granted the wisdom to determine the purpose God has planned for me. Pray that I be blessed with the courage to follow God's will even at times when I do not understand. Ask our Lord to lead me to a life worthy of His love, that I may one day share the riches of His kingdom. Petition our Lord and Savior to ease the burden of my problems and grant my special intention, and I will honor you all of my days.

DAY 8 - AUGUST 27
TO POSSESS THE VIRTUE OF HUMILITY
Jesus, you left all your heavenly glory and came down to earth in a very humble human form to do the will of the Father (cf. Heb. 10:7). Your life was self-emptying throughout and ended in the most painful and humiliating death on the cross for the salvation of mankind. Your death on the cross and your supreme forgiving love attract many souls. To be humble, St. Euphrasia found ways and means in her daily endeavours and wished to be unnoticed by others and lead a hidden life.

PRAYER
Jesus, you took the form of a servant to redeem mankind. You assign people on earth, suitable to your Heart to realize your Father's will. We praise you for this. The present world with all its crookedness and vices, has to be brought to the bright light of faith and purity. For this, you have selected St. Euphrasia also along with other saints, we thank you. To be light where there is darkness, to be comfort to the disturbed, to be a corrective force for sinners, to be a support to the weak souls to ascend the steps of holiness, to be a lodestar to grow in the love of God and man, you have given us our Mother, St. Euphrasia, we praise and thank you. We too desire to bring many people to the path of prayer and sanctity. We pray for all these graces, for our intentions and prayers which we offer through this novena be heard and answered so that Jesus be glorified. Amen.

KNOW THE LIVING JESUS
“Don't search for Jesus in far lands; He is not there. He is close to you; He is in you.”
Ask for the grace of an intimate knowledge of Jesus.
PRAYER
St. Teresa of Kolkata, you allowed the thirsting love of Jesus on the Cross to become a living flame within you, and so became the light of His love to all.
