1⃣ NOVENA TO ST. PEREGRINE

DAY 9 - APRIL 30

OPENING PRAYER: O good St. Peregrine, patron of those suffering from foot ailments, cancer, and incurable diseases, grant, we beseech you, relief from suffering to (name the persons who are ill). In your compassion, we beg you to intercede with Our Lord Jesus Christ that mankind may soon find a cure for the dread disease of physical cancer as well as for the moral cancer which grips so much of our world today. Amen.

REFLECTION: "This day you shall be with Me in paradise." (Lk 23:42)

Finally, O good St. Peregrine, we ask that you intercede for those whom God sees fit to call home. May they die in happiness and peace, confident that they will be with You forever in the presence of Jesus and Mary. Amen.

NOVENA PRAYER: O great St. Peregrine, you have been called "The Mighty," "The Wonder-Worker," because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you. For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favoured with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.

(Pause here and silently recall the names of the sick for whom you are praying)

Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy. Amen.

St. Peregrine: Pray that we may have strength and comfort in the hour of our death!

DAY 4 - APRIL 30

FOR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING - “I AM NOT CAPABLE OF DOING BIG THINGS, BUT I WANT TO DO EVERYTHING, EVEN THE SMALLEST THINGS, FOR THE GREATER GLORY OF GOD.”

Heavenly Father, remind us each day that, of all the gifts you give us, the greatest gift is your unconditional love, and it is not enough to share that love with those we hold dear. Open our hearts not to just those who are close to us, but to all humanity. Let us be slow to judge, quick to forgive, patient and merciful, understanding of differences, and loving to all God's children.

Saint Dominic Savio who suffered much here below, and knew how to find joy in every bitterness, intercede for us with God that so He may help us to bear patiently all our crosses, and console our hearts saddened by the trials of earth's exile. Obtain for us the favors we ask and implore through your powerful intercession. Amen.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be...

PRAYER: Dear Saint Dominic, you spent your short life totally for love of Jesus and His Mother. Help us today to realize the importance of God in our lives. You became a saint through fervent participation in the sacraments; enlighten parents and children to the importance of frequent confession and Holy Communion. At a young age you meditated on the sorrowful Passion of Our Lord. Obtain for us the grace of a fervent desire to suffer for love of Him.

We desperately need your intercession to protect us from the snares of the world. Watch over us and lead us on the narrow road to Heaven. Ask God to give us the grace to sanctify our daily duties by performing them perfectly out of love for Him. Remind us of the necessity of practicing virtue especially in times of trial. Amen.

St. Dominic Savio, you who preserved your Baptismal innocence of heart, pray for us!
