1⃣ NOVENA TO ST. PEREGRINE

DAY 8 - APRIL 29

OPENING PRAYER: O good St. Peregrine, patron of those suffering from foot ailments, cancer, and incurable diseases, grant, we beseech you, relief from suffering to (name the persons who are ill). In your compassion, we beg you to intercede with Our Lord Jesus Christ that mankind may soon find a cure for the dread disease of physical cancer as well as for the moral cancer which grips so much of our world today. Amen.

REFLECTION: "They shall neither hunger nor thirst anymore." (Rev 7:16)

O St. Peregrine, we ask you to heed the anguished cries of those dying from starvation throughout the world today, especially children and old people. Amen.

NOVENA PRAYER: O great St. Peregrine, you have been called "The Mighty," "The Wonder-Worker," because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you. For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favoured with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.

(Pause here and silently recall the names of the sick for whom you are praying)

Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy. Amen.

St. Peregrine: Pray that relief may come to those who are suffering from hunger and thirst in body and soul!

DAY 3 - APRIL 29

FOR GUIDANCE AND PERSEVERANCE - "…UNTIL WE ALL MEET AGAIN IN GOD'S COMPANY"

Show us your ways, O LORD, teach us your paths; guide us in your truth and teach us to remain firmly grounded as we overcome the daily obstacles in life. Give us strength to fight the good fight and never give up.

Saint Dominic Savio, who persevered throughout your life in exact fidelity to God's grace, you who saw your perseverance crowned on the glorious day of your death, obtain for us to be fully faithful to God's law and never to separate ourselves from His holy love. Obtain for us the favors we ask and implore through your powerful intercession. Amen.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be...

PRAYER: Dear Saint Dominic, you spent your short life totally for love of Jesus and His Mother. Help us today to realize the importance of God in our lives. You became a saint through fervent participation in the sacraments; enlighten parents and children to the importance of frequent confession and Holy Communion. At a young age you meditated on the sorrowful Passion of Our Lord. Obtain for us the grace of a fervent desire to suffer for love of Him.

We desperately need your intercession to protect us from the snares of the world. Watch over us and lead us on the narrow road to Heaven. Ask God to give us the grace to sanctify our daily duties by performing them perfectly out of love for Him. Remind us of the necessity of practicing virtue especially in times of trial. Amen.

St. Dominic Savio, you who preserved your Baptismal innocence of heart, pray for us!
