1⃣ NOVENA TO ST. BENEDICT

DAY 5 - JULY 6

St. Benedict, despite your material poverty, you were always mindful of the poor and the needy. From the little produce of your monastery, you happily shared something for the poor who knocked daily at your door. Through you, the hungry had always their fill. May we learn from your charity and open our doors to those unprivileged. Inspire us to understand that our faith's best expression is the help we extend to the needy. Amen.

PRAYER: Glorious St. Benedict who taught us the way to perfection by the practice of mortification, humility, obedience, prayer, silence, and detachment from the world, I kneel at your feet and humbly beg you to take my present needs under your special protection (here make your request). Recommend it to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and lay it before the throne of Jesus. Cease not to intercede for me until my request is granted. Above all, obtain for me the grace to meet God face to face with you, Mary, and all the angels and saints to praise him through all eternity. O most powerful St. Benedict, do not let me lose my soul, but obtain for me the grace of winning my way to heaven and there worship and enjoy the Most Holy and Adorable Trinity forever and ever. Amen.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be...

Intercede for us, O holy father Saint Benedict.

That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

LET US PRAY: O God, Who hast called us from the vanity of the world, and Who dost incite us to the reward of a heavenly vocation under the guidance of the holy patriarch and founder, Saint Benedict, inspire and purify our hearts and pour forth on us Thy grace, whereby we may persevere in Thee. Through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

2⃣ NOVENA TO ST. CAMILLUS DE LELLIS (PATRON OF THE SICK, HOSPITALS, AND NURSES)

DAY 2 - JULY 6

Dear St. Camillus, shocked by the abandonment in which the sick lived, you received from Jesus the inspiration to create an organisation for caring for the sick with love. Help me to understand that it is important before God to treat those who suffer with love. In the difficult moments of life, give me courage not to become disheartened.

PRAY FOR SOMEONE WHO SUFFERS MORE THAN YOU DO.

(State your intentions here…)

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be.

PRAYER OF THE SICK: Lord, I come before You in prayer. I know that You hear me, You know me. I know that I am in You and that Your strength is in me. Look at my body racked with infirmity. You know, Lord, how much it hurts me to suffer. I know that You are not pleased with the suffering of Your children.
Give me, Lord, the strength and courage to overcome moments of desperation and exhaustion. Make me patient and understanding. I offer up my worries, anxiety and suffering to be more worthy of You.
Let me, Lord, unite my sufferings with those of Your Son Jesus who for love of men gave His life on the Cross.
Furthermore, I ask You, Lord: Help doctors and nurses take care of the sick with the same dedication and love that St. Camillus had. Amen.

St. Camillus de Lellis: Pray for us!

3⃣ NOVENA TO ST. BONAVENTURE (PATRON OF BOWEL DISORDER)

DAY 1 - JULY 6

O St. Bonaventure, you chose a life of mortification and great humility. By choosing to serve those who were rejected and sick, you willingly risked illness yourself. You made your life a continuous prayer and spent many hours meditating on the wounds of Christ. Help us to imitate the willingness to serve God as you showed in your decision to enter religious life as a Franciscan.

St. Bonaventure, we know very little about your early life except that St. Francis once brought about healing of illness for you. Years later as a young man, you chose to follow in the footsteps of St. Francis by dedicating your life to God in the Franciscan religious order.

Please bring my petitions before God Whom you chose to serve!

You continued on in the path of service to God throughout your life. You led your order for many years and faithfully shepherded the people entrusted to you as a cardinal and bishop.

Pray for me, that I may always choose to serve God at every opportunity. Pray that I may be open to serving God in whatever way He might call me.

Please also pray for (mention your intentions here).

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be…

St. Bonaventure, pray for us!
