DAY 9 - JULY 5

O St. Maria Goretti, patron of victims of rape, please pray for all those who have been sexually assaulted.

Pray for their healing, for comfort, and for peace for them.

Please pray that we, as a society, may be able to better protect those who are survivors of sexual assault.

And please pray for justice for their attackers, but most of all, for their contrition and conversion. Amen.

2⃣ NOVENA TO ST. BENEDICT

DAY 4 - JULY 5

St. Benedict, you understood prayer as basking in God's presence, experiencing his loving hands in our day to day struggles. While you worked in the fields, your heart sang hymns to your creator and you offered him a constant prayer of thanksgiving. May we imitate you in your unending prayer to the most High, wherever we go and whatever we do, may we remember Jesus and offer him our thanksgiving. Amen.

PRAYER: Glorious St. Benedict who taught us the way to perfection by the practice of mortification, humility, obedience, prayer, silence, and detachment from the world, I kneel at your feet and humbly beg you to take my present needs under your special protection (here make your request). Recommend it to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and lay it before the throne of Jesus. Cease not to intercede for me until my request is granted. Above all, obtain for me the grace to meet God face to face with you, Mary, and all the angels and saints to praise him through all eternity. O most powerful St. Benedict, do not let me lose my soul, but obtain for me the grace of winning my way to heaven and there worship and enjoy the Most Holy and Adorable Trinity forever and ever. Amen.

DAY 1 - JULY 5

Dear St. Camillus, knowing that there is no greater love than to give your life for another, you patiently put up with many infirmities during your life without ceasing to work on behalf of the sick. Intercede with God so that I (or mention name(s) of the person(s) instead of “I” during the course of these novena prayers) may have the strength necessary to overcome the troubles that afflict my life and the life of my family and friends. Help me to spiritually benefit from everything that happens.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be.

PRAYER OF THE SICK: Lord, I come before You in prayer. I know that You hear me, You know me. I know that I am in You and that Your strength is in me. Look at my body racked with infirmity. You know, Lord, how much it hurts me to suffer. I know that You are not pleased with the suffering of Your children.
Give me, Lord, the strength and courage to overcome moments of desperation and exhaustion. Make me patient and understanding. I offer up my worries, anxiety and suffering to be more worthy of You.
Let me, Lord, unite my sufferings with those of Your Son Jesus who for love of men gave His life on the Cross.
Furthermore, I ask You, Lord: Help doctors and nurses take care of the sick with the same dedication and love that St. Camillus had. Amen.
