WE ASK CHRIST FOR THE GIFT OF HUMILITY, WHICH HE GRANTED TO SAINT TERESA.
PRAYER: O most kind Lord Jesus Christ! we thank Thee for the great gift of humility which Thou didst grant to Thy beloved Teresa; we pray Thee, by Thy merits, and by those of Thy most humble spouse, to grant us the grace of a true humility, which may make us ever find our joy in humiliation, and prefer contempt before every honor. (Note: In the first verse of the prayer, the phrase "Thy most humble spouse" refers to the Church, the Bride of Christ).

LET US PRAY: Graciously hear us, O God of our salvation! that as we rejoice in the commemoration of the blessed virgin Teresa, so we may be nourished by her heavenly doctrine, and draw from thence the fervor of a tender devotion; through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever. Amen.

REFLECTION - HAVE RECOURSE TRUSTFULLY TO GOD'S LOVING KINDNESS AND HE WILL NOT FORSAKE YOU, FOR HE LONGS TO BESTOW HIS GRACES. THOUGH YOU MAY HAVE HAD THE MISFORTUNE TO OFFEND HIM, HE IS ALWAYS READY TO RECEIVE YOU, PROVIDED YOU RETURN HUMBLY TO HIM. - St. Margaret Mary Alacoque
PRAYER: Saint Margaret Mary, thou who wast made a partaker of the divine treasures of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, obtain for us, we beseech thee, from this adorable Heart, the graces we need so sorely.

Saint Gerard, spotless lily of purity, by the angelic virtue and thy wonderful innocence of life you did receive from the Infant Jesus and His Immaculate Mother, sweet pledges of tender love, grant, I beseech you, that I may ever strive manfully in my lifelong fight, and therefore win the crown that awaits the brave and the true.

LET US PRAY: Almighty and Everlasting God, who did draw to Yourself Saint Gerard, even from his tenderest years, making him conformable to the Image of Your Crucified Son, grant we beseech You, that imitating his example, we may be made like unto the same Divine Image, through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.
