DAY 9 - OCTOBER 4
THE VESSEL OF TRUST
JESUS: The graces of My mercy are drawn by means of one vessel only, and that is trust. The more a soul trusts, the more it will receive. Souls that trust boundlessly are a great comfort to Me, because I pour all the treasures of My graces into them (Diary 1578).
ST. FAUSTINA: O Lord, my Love, I thank You for this day on which You have allowed me to draw a wealth of graces from the fountain of Your unfathomable mercy. O Jesus, not only today, but at every moment, I draw from Your unfathomable mercy everything that the soul and body could want (Diary 1178).
Saint Faustina, help me to obtain a large vessel of trust so that I may draw with it graces not only for myself, but also for the Church, my homeland, the whole world, and especially for souls who doubt God's mercy.

Saint Faustina, obtain for me the grace of trusting in God each and every day, no matter how difficult the circumstances would be. Amen.

DAY 7 - OCTOBER 4
O Mary Immaculate, Refuge of Sinners, to whom will we go if not to you, our loving Mother? Where will we find comfort, and the solace that we need, in shame of sin, except with you? Draw us gently back, dear Mother of Love, to the quiet path that leads to the haven of the Sacred Heart. I have sinned often, Mother Mary. I have sinned with scarce a thought of heaven, hell or the love you have heaped upon me. The memory of my misdeeds disturbs my thoughts. But that is over now. I know that in my trust of your protecting care, I shall find peace and hope, and pardon for those sins. Like Magdalene, Augustine and a million more, I feel confident of the welcome of His warming smile, for you are interceding for me. I ask a special grace and this favor that I so earnestly seek, (mention your request) in this novena, for the greater glory of God, for your own honor, and for the good of all people. Amen.
