DAY 5 - AUGUST 31
TRUST JESUS FULLY
“Trust in the good God, who loves us, who cares for us, who sees all, knows all, can do all things for my good and the good of souls.”
“Christ accepted to die because He trusted His Father. He knew that from that apparent failure God will work out His plan of salvation. For us, too, we must have that deep faith and trust that if we are doing God's will, He will work out His plan of salvation in us and through us in spite of any failure we may meet.”
“Jesus never changes.…Trust Him lovingly, trust Him with a big smile, always believing He is the Way to the Father, He is the light in this world of darkness.”
“So let us all make that one strong resolution that we will be all love to Jesus in the world…that we will be at His disposal to make use of us without consulting us. And I think that is the best way to show our love for Him, to accept Him as He comes. If He wants to come into our life in humiliation, in suffering, all right; if He wants in publicity, all right. Whatever it be, success, failure, it makes no difference to Him, and it should not make a difference to us either.”

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be...
PRAYER TO ST. TERESA OF CALCUTTA: Saint Teresa of Calcutta, longing to love Jesus as He had never been loved before, you gave yourself entirely to Him, refusing Him nothing. In union with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, you accepted His call to satiate His infinite thirst for love and souls and become a carrier of His love to the poorest of the poor. With loving trust and total surrender you fulfilled His will, witnessing to the joy of belonging totally to Him. You became so intimately united to Jesus your crucified Spouse that He deigned to share with you the agony of His Heart as He hung upon the Cross.
Saint Teresa, you promised to continuously bring the light of love to those on earth; pray for us that we also may long to satiate the burning thirst of Jesus by loving Him ardently, sharing in His sufferings joyfully, and serving Him wholeheartedly in our brothers and sisters, especially those most unloved and unwanted. Amen.

DAY 2 - AUGUST 31
Oh most holy daughter of Adam, your precious Son chose you as the vessel for his entry to the world. Where our first mother, Eve, fell short, you fulfilled God's call for a Mother's holiness. Pray for me today that the feast of your birth may give great joy to my soul that I may be born to new life through your Son.

Our Dear Mother, you are the splendour of the race of David, the gem among Jewish women. We admire your beauty. You were born Immaculate to destroy the kingdom of Satan. You brought forth Christ, the Divine Light to remove the darkness of sin from the world. O Virgin undefiled and Mother most amiable, we have recourse to you with full confidence. Our hearts are delighted as we utter your sweet name Mary our Mother; grant us health of mind and body and lead us in the path of Light and Holiness.

I desire by this novena, which I now offer in your honour, to prove the lively confidence I have in your intercession. Accept it, I beseech you, in honour of that supernatural love and joy, with which your Immaculate Heart was replenished during the abode of your divine Son in your womb, in veneration of which, I offer you the sentiments of my heart. Amen.
