TO PRACTISE SIMPLICITY IN LIFE
Life on earth is not becoming worthy of Christ with wealth and vanities. Utter simplicity is seen in the birth, life and death of our Lord. St. Euphrasia, in the literal sense, wanted to imbibe the same spirit in her life.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be...
PRAYER: Jesus, you took the form of a servant to redeem mankind. You assign people on earth, suitable to your Heart to realize your Father's will. We praise you for this. The present world with all its crookedness and vices, has to be brought to the bright light of faith and purity. For this, you have selected St. Euphrasia also along with other saints, we thank you. To be light where there is darkness, to be comfort to the disturbed, to be a corrective force for sinners, to be a support to the weak souls to ascend the steps of holiness, to be a lodestar to grow in the love of God and man, you have given us our Mother, St. Euphrasia, we praise and thank you. We too desire to bring many people to the path of prayer and sanctity. We pray for all these graces, for our intentions and prayers which we offer through this novena be heard and answered so that Jesus be glorified. Amen.

DAY 2 - AUGUST 28
JESUS LOVES YOU
“Am I convinced of Christ's love for me, and mine for Him?"
"This conviction is like the sunlight which makes the sap of life rise and the buds of sanctity bloom. This conviction is the rock on which sanctity is built.”
“The devil may try to use hurts of life, and sometimes our own mistakes, to make you feel it is impossible that Jesus really loves you, is really cleaving to you. This is a danger for all of us. And so sad, because it is completely opposite of what Jesus is really wanting, waiting to tell you. … He loves you always, even when you don't feel worthy.”
“Jesus loves you tenderly, you are precious to Him. Turn to Jesus with great trust and allow yourself to be loved by Him. The past belongs to His mercy, the future to His providence, and the present to His love.”
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: “Do not be afraid — you are precious to Jesus. He loves you.”
Ask for the grace to be convinced of Jesus' unconditional and personal love for you.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be...
PRAYER TO ST. TERESA OF CALCUTTA: Saint Teresa of Calcutta, longing to love Jesus as He had never been loved before, you gave yourself entirely to Him, refusing Him nothing. In union with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, you accepted His call to satiate His infinite thirst for love and souls and become a carrier of His love to the poorest of the poor. With loving trust and total surrender you fulfilled His will, witnessing to the joy of belonging totally to Him. You became so intimately united to Jesus your crucified Spouse that He deigned to share with you the agony of His Heart as He hung upon the Cross.
Saint Teresa, you promised to continuously bring the light of love to those on earth; pray for us that we also may long to satiate the burning thirst of Jesus by loving Him ardently, sharing in His sufferings joyfully, and serving Him wholeheartedly in our brothers and sisters, especially those most unloved and unwanted. Amen.
