DAY 4 - JUNE 15

Lord, we thank You for giving us St. Aloysius Gonzaga as an example of holiness. Help us to imitate the love of You that led him to renounce his worldly inheritance and follow You. St. Aloysius Gonzaga, you were born into a family of wealthy means. Your parents expected you to take up a worldly profession, but you persevered in your desire to serve God in a religious vocation. Please persevere in bringing my petitions before God!

You had to choose between your inheritance and your religious vocation. Despite the pressures of your family, you chose to serve God in the path He was calling you to. Pray for me, that I may always choose to serve God, no matter the cost. Pray that I may never allow worldly influence to lead me away from God. Amen.

REFLECTION: INDUSTRY AND PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE

Lord God, we honor the memory of our Saint, Saint Thomas More.

In his earthly life, he was a model of industriousness.
He threw himself wholeheartedly into everything he did, and he found enjoyment even in the most serious things.
We ask that you grant to us, through his prayers and intercession, the virtues of industry, and the pursuit of excellence.

We also ask that, through his powerful intercession, we may obtain the favors we seek in this novena:

DAY 1 - JUNE 15

O Glorious, St. John the Baptist, greatest prophet among those born of woman, although thou was sanctified in thy mother's womb and didst lead a most innocent life, nevertheless it was thy will to retire into the wilderness, there to devote thyself to the practice of austerity and penance; obtain for us of thy Lord the grace to be wholly detached, at least in our hearts, from earthly goods, and to practice Christian mortification with interior recollection and with the spirit of holy prayer. Amen.

O glorious St. John the Baptist, through the love thou does bear to Jesus Christ, and for the glory of His Name,
