PEACE BE WITH YOU!

Peace; Look; Listen; Go Jesus greets the apostles with that soothing word, ‘Shalom' (Peace) – it means I wish you the fullness of well-being of mind and body and soul. He then invites them to look at his hands and side. He encourages them to listen to what the scriptures say about him and then to go and preach the Good News that He is Risen.

TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, you see my poverty and you love me better than I can love myself. Supply my wants according to your mercy. Help me to accept your will without seeking to understand disappointments. Help me to resign myself entirely and absolutely to you. Amen.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, the needs of your people open your heart in love for each of us. You care for us when we are lost, sympathize with us in loneliness, and comfort us in mourning; you are closest to us where we are weakest. You love us most when we love ourselves least; you forgive us most when we forgive ourselves least; and you call us to spread your love in whatever way we can.

Lord Jesus, your heart is moved with compassion when we are suffering, when we need your help, and when we pray for each other. I ask you to listen to my prayer during this Novena, and grant what I ask.

2⃣ NOVENA TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY

DAY 7 - JUNE 5

TO LEAD SOULS TO JESUS CHRIST

Immaculate Mother of God, our Mother by grace, we the beloved of thy Immaculate Heart come to thee on this seventh day of this Novena to pray for the grace and strength to lead souls to Jesus Christ, our Lord, God and Savior.

O Heavenly Mother Mary, we come to Jesus when we come to thee. Thy greatness lies in thy being "Mother of God." May living our motto "To Jesus through Mary" lead many souls to thy Son, true God and true Man. We fly into thy patronage, O Holy Mother of God; despise not our petitions in our necessities, but deliver us always from all dangers, O glorious and blessed Virgin.

Most Holy Mary, thou conceived the Word of God in thy Immaculate Heart before thy womb. Thou sought always to ponder the Word of God in thy heart perfectly without drawing attention to thyself. It was St. John the Baptist who said, "He must increase but I must decrease." (John 3:30) It was thou, O Mary, who under the power of the Holy Spirit, prayed, "My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord." (Luke 1:46). May we lead souls to Christ by decreasing ourselves and by always proclaiming the greatness of the Lord. With thou as our Mother and Model, Immaculate Mary, may we never waver in leading souls to the Father through Jesus in His Holy Catholic Church, under the visible headship of the Pontiff.

PRAYER: Sanctify us, O Lord, through Thy Holy Spirit, that we may be instruments for the sanctification of others by word and deed. Thou said, "A man cannot receive anything unless it be given to him from Heaven." (John 3:27). May the glory of God and the salvation of souls always be our goals. May we remember, O heavenly Mother, that we teach as much by what we are as by what we say. May we never lead another soul astray. By our prayers, sacrifices and teaching, in the performance of our daily duties, may we always lead souls to Jesus Christ, where lies their hope of eternal salvation.

As apostles of thy love, Immaculata, illumine and purify us, so that we may be effective servants of the Divine Mercy of Jesus Christ in leading many souls to the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

3⃣ 13 DAYS NOVENA TO ST. ANTHONY OF PADUA

DAY 6 - JUNE 5

Anthony, through your teaching and preaching you bore witness to the loving presence of God in all of creation. Now that you have come into the fullness of the kingdom, pray for us that our lives might also proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ to all humanity.

PRAYER: Almighty, Eternal God, you have given your people St. Anthony as an outstanding preacher and intercessor in times of need. Grant that with his help we may follow in the example of Christian living and experience your support in all adversities. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

St. Anthony, “Helper of the Poor,” help us find the presence of Christ Jesus in the poor, the suffering, the homeless and the elderly. {pause} We are companions of St. Anthony, Helper of the poor: may we discover the Lord Jesus in the lepers of our day, we pray:

BRIEF STORY OF ST. ANTHONY'S LIFE

ST. ANTHONY'S SHIP ARRIVES IN SICILY

Divine Providence sent St. Anthony's ship eastward towards Italy. Setting foot on Sicily, St. Anthony felt weak and abandoned. Identifying himself with the hungry and homeless, he reached out to the poor, and determined to persevere in his Franciscan vocation. He made his way northward to Assisi where St. Francis and the Friars were convening at their general assembly, known as the 1221 “Chapter of Mats.” A new day was dawning for St. Anthony and the Order.

DAY 2 - JUNE 5

O miracle-working St. Anthony, remember that it never has been heard that thou didst not leave without help or relief anyone who in his need had recourse to thee. Animated now with the most lively confidence, even with full conviction of not being refused, I fly for refuge to thee, O most favored friend of the Infant Jesus. O eloquent preacher of the Divine mercy, despise not my supplications but, bringing them before the throne of God, strengthen them by thine intercession and obtain for me the favor I seek in this novena (State your intention).

O wonderful St. Anthony, glorious on account of the fame of your miracles, and through the condescension of Jesus in coming in the form of a little child to rest in your arms, obtain for me of His bounty the grace which I ardently desire from the depths of my heart .

You who were so compassionate toward miserable sinners, regard not the unworthiness of those who pray to you, but the glory of God that it may once again be magnified by the granting of the particular request (State your intention) which I now ask for with persevering earnestness. Amen.
